Richard Allen — CEO and Co-founder
Richard brings over 25 years of experience to Airways. In 1989, Richard was out to break some rules of the traditional agency model: to work more closely and more often with his clients than most situations allow. His roles have included Creative Director, Video, CD and Web Producer and copywriter. His innovative approach to connecting with customers thrives in the complex world of business-to-business online communication.
A veteran of Internet and online direct marketing Richard has been responsible for building and managing many progressive online marketing campaigns. Since 1980, he has created award-winning work for clients including BMW Motorcycles, Hewlett-Packard, Experian, IBM, ING Security Life, J.D. Edwards, Jack Henry, MetLife, NEON, Pentax, StorageTek and others.
By focusing on a higher customer cause, he integrates brand development strategy with emerging Internet channels and execution. Powerful bonds result between companies and customers that shorten the sales cycle and increase revenue.
Richard served as an Army Artillery Captain until 1990 completing his service with the Colorado National Guard. Raised in Wisconsin, he didn't discover his passion for sailing until moving to the mountains of Colorado. Leslie Gabriel — Design Director and Co-founder
Leslie has been a results-driven designer and creative director since 1980. She began life in the traditional ad agency world. In 1987 Leslie had the passion to start her own design business, and was a founding partner at Airways in 1989.
Leslie has developed that rare blend of marketing savvy and graphic design sense. Distinctive, aesthetic solutions result as she injects fresh insight into complex products and services. The best solution becomes simple to see, and emotional ideas become concise, powerful messages.
Leslie's fast, effective style is welcome on any project. Her experience includes ING Security Life, Experian, many divisions of Hewlett-Packard, Pentax, MetLife, NEON, StorageTek, BMW Motorcycles and more. As the Design Director at Airways, Leslie is responsible for art direction, design, vendor and talent relations, and production management.
Leslie loves to travel and see the world outside Denver. She recently visited the British Virgin Islands (again). On another excursion took in some Broadway shows in NYC. In Colorado, she enjoys golf, motorcycling, (she rides her own BMW 1150RA) sailing and skiing. She also contributes regular energy to launch fund-raising sailing regattas for the Leukemia Society of America. And regularly volunteers her time and talent to The Morgan Adams Foundation. The Foundations mission is to raise awarness of and financial support for pediatric cancer research.
